National League High School

Updated 01-20-2016

National League High School is a competitive league for players ages 15 through 18. There can be 2 divisions:  16U and 18U.  Individual players do not register for this league.  Registration is by team only.

Early registration, December 1, is limited to Lee's Summit teams after which registration will be opened to non-Lee's Summit teams beginning December 31.  A Lee's Summit team is a team that has no more than five non-Lee's Summit players.   A Lee's Summit player is one who lives within the boundaries of the Lee's Summit R7 School District and/or the City of Lee's Summit.  Online registration is open through April.

The team fee is $1,700.  A non-refundable $500 deposit by credit card, made online through the lsbaseball.com website, (or click on the Online registration link above) is required at the time of registration.  The remaining $1,200 is due early May by check in order for you to be included in the schedule.  The exact date will be communicated to you through email.

Mail your $1,200 final payment to:

Lee’s Summit Baseball Association

PO Box 1415

Lee’s Summit, MO 64063

The Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board requires that all mangers participate in at least two hours of Training annually.  Visit the lsbaseball.com website calendar for scheduled dates for training.

Also, all managers and coaches must complete a Background Check which is done by a third party vendor which will charge a fee for this process.  Scroll down and click on “Background Check” on the lower left side of the lsbaseball.com home page.  Fill out the form and submit online in order for you to be included in the schedule.

Manager check-in will be mid-May at location to be determined.  The exact location and date will be communicated to you through email.

Rosters are due at the manager check-in meeting.  The blank roster form from the lsbaseball.com website must be used and filled out including all signatures for parents and players.  Attached to the roster shall be a verification of date of birth for each player.  A copy of a birth certificate or driver’s license will work.

Ages will be based on High School grade and age.  If a player does not meet age restriction, they must play in the next higher division.  The age cut-off is April 30th, which means whatever age a player is on April 30th of the current baseball season, is the age group that they will play in for that season.

Each division will play a 12-game schedule plus all teams will be provided entry into a Triple Crown Tournament at Legacy Park free of charge such as:

Triple Crown MO-KAN State

Contact:  Otis Miller, 816-389-1745 to discuss your choice of tournament and confirm your spot.  Also ask about other tournament discounts. View a list of this year’s tournament at www.triplecrownsports.com

Divisions will play double headers on random days, Monday through Thursday.

Games will begin in late May and the last game will be played around the second week of July depending on weather.  Make-up games will be played at Legacy Park.  Traditionally because of weather, a “make-up game weekend” will be established.  Please do not schedule an out of town tournament on this weekend that gets established for make-ups.  There WILL be make-ups necessary.  At least arrange to be able to play a make-up on Friday or Sunday night of the make-up weekend.

Coaches Please Note:  Game baseballs are provided to all teams.  Practice fields are not provided. Teams are responsible for obtaining their own uniforms and equipment.

If you have any questions about the 16U through 18U divisions, please contact Kent Lauer.
